It's Time!

We were all at the Farm Country seeing the animals when we decided to go home and cook some dinner, we were all very hot and hungry! We got home at about 7:00, popped some food in the oven, and Cami started to have some contractions. They were very close together, about 3-5 minutes, but they had only been going for a few minutes while preparing dinner. They continued to get worse. Cami made Aaron hurry and pack an overnight bag just in case- but thought all contractions would stop shortly. They didn't, by the time Aaron was starting to get the bag put together Cami was very anxious to get to the hospital NOW! We left about 7:30 got to the hospital and checked about 8- and was ready to go! They quickly got me moved into a delivery room and caught the anestesiologist seconds before gowning for a c-section for another patient. Luckily the nurse caught him just in time- or it would have been too late for an epidurral. Luckily Aaron can drive quickly, Nurse said 5 minutes later and I would have been out of luck. Within an hour, I was fully dialated and ready to go-

The Doctor got there at about 9:30- broke my water, and waited for a few contractions to finish the job... at about 10:15 we kicked everyone out- the doctor got dressed and set up, and we were ready to have a baby! Within 2 good contractions the baby was out! The doctor announced it was a girl! She was born at 10:28pm. Aaron cut the cord, and I got to hold her for the first time! We were very excited!
